Endorsement From the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters Bolsters State Senator Ed Hernandez’ Statewide Bid
WEST COVINA, CA- Continuing his cascade of support from organizations representing working families, today State Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez was endorsed by the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters in his campaign for California Lieutenant Governor.
In announcing their endorsement, Dan Langford, President of the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters, released the following statement:
“The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters proudly endorses Senator Ed Hernandez because working people need a proven advocate for workers’ rights in the Lieutenant Governor’s office. We also need a person who can be an advocate for California businesses to help our economy grow and create new jobs. Senator Ed Hernandez will fight for California workers and California businesses and will push back against large, out of state and foreign corporations who try to drive out local businesses, depress wages for local California workers and sometimes avoid paying taxes, hurting workers and legitimate local businesses who play by the rules. . Yesterday, State Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez rolled out a new digital video ad, titled “Proven Progressive,” in his campaign for California Lieutenant Governor. The ad highlights some of the Senator’s high-powered endorsements, including from the California Nurses Association and the California Teachers Association, along with his 100% legislative voting scorecard from organizations like the California Labor Federation* and Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California Advocates*.

He’s endorsed by the California Nurses Association because, “he’s led on healthcare issues,” including “single-payer.”

Renee highlights Senator Hernandez’ efforts to combat skyrocketing drug costs in the ad.
