The Fresno County Democratic Central Committee has not endorsed any candidate in this race.
In just a few days, the FCC is expected to vote to completely end net neutrality — fundamentally changing the way the internet works in America. That is bad, and that will hurt Californians.
Right now, all content on the internet is treated basically the same. But, if the FCC gets their way this week, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) could chose what you see and how fast you see it — and those decisions could be made by corporations based on their politics and their profits.
Here in California, we don’t need to be reminded just how important a free and open internet is to our economy and our way of life. When ISPs get to decide what you see, when you see it, and how quickly it loads on your screen, consumers lose.
If the FCC gets their way, our free and open internet will be a thing of the past. We can’t let that happen.
Thank you,
Kevin
