We did it!
The federal court has blocked the merger of health insurance giants Aetna and Humana.
Thanks to all who took the time to write, email or testify at our hearing on the merger. The testimony and evidence submitted at our hearing led me to formally request the United States Attorney General to sue to block the merger. And she did!
Just as we found in our hearing, the court ruled that the Aetna/Humana merger is bad for consumers. Our hearing found that this health insurance merger would lead to less choice, less competition, higher prices and lower quality of care.
Thanks again to all those who stood up and said “no” to the merger of these health insurers.
