Please join us this Thursday, September 14, 2017, 11 a.m.-12 noon at the Fresno Center for Nonviolence, 1584 N. Van Ness Avenue, Fresno, where visiting scholar from India, Dr. Geeta Mehta will do a short presentation on the Current State of the Gandhian Movement in India.  She is former Head of the Department of Philosophy, M.D. College, Mumbai, India, and a scholar in Gandhian Studies and Jain Studies.

You are welcome to attend this informal gathering and get to know Dr. Mehta.  She is quite knowledgeable about the peace movement in India and would like to meet people associated with the peace movement in the U.S.  The event is free and open to the public.  Please note that the Center for Nonviolence is open despite all the construction happening outside the building.

In case you are wondering—yes, this is the same Geeta Mehta who will be presenting the night before, September 13, 7 p.m., at CSUF Food and Science Building, Room 313.  Her topic for the night-time presentation is: From Plato, Aristotle to Gandhi: Social Justice and Peace Building.  That event is also free and open to all.
