If we’re going to save our democracy, we can’t just nibble at the edges – a regulation here, a tax credit there. We need to make big, structural change in this country.
And that starts with taking on a Washington that works for the rich and powerful.
That’s why I’ve proposed the biggest set of anti-corruption reforms since Watergate. Here’s one piece of it: Make every candidate for federal office – including for President – release their tax returns for the American people to see.
I put the past ten years of my federal tax returns online. It’s all out there – I’m an open book.
And I’m calling on every other candidate for President to do exactly the same thing.
We’ve got to hold ourselves – and our candidates, and our elected officials – to the highest standard of accountability and transparency.

It’s corruption, plain and simple, and we have to change the rules in Washington to attack it head-on.

That’s the kind of campaign everybody ought to be running in 2020. We can’t let our presidential primary become one more plaything for special interests and billionaires.
