Celebrating Women’s History
Dear Friends,
Women have made significant contributions to our nation’s history since earning the right to vote in 1920. We are now the majority population, helping drive progress and shaping our nation’s future.
Celebrating Women’s History Month each year is an important reminder of how far we have come and how much further we still have to go in the fight for equality. For our 3rd Annual “Women’s History Month”, nine women will be recognized and celebrated as City of Fresno trailblazers, representing women of every culture, class and ethnic background who have contributed to the betterment and building of our City.
I am proud to announce the honorees for Fresno District 1 Women Leading the Way 2017! Thank you to all these wonderful women who are leading the way to positive change in our community by being active leaders. I look forward to continue advocating together.
