Dear Resident,
Your participation in community meetings and events is very important. I want to remind folks about the Back-To-School-Youth Explosion event at Roeding Park tomorrow 8/7/2021 at 9AM. I strongly encourage students to attend and get vaccinated, to ensure they have a successful start of the school year.
On Tuesday, August 10, 2021 we will have a virtual community meeting to share updates on the Maxie L. Parks Community Center. Our panelists include the contracted toxicologist, director of Parcs Department, director of Department of Public Utilities, and outside legal counsel to answer any questions or concerns you have about the Maxie L. Parks Community Center. Please join us via Zoom at 6:00PM. Spanish interpretation will be available.
Furthermore, I want to share that beginning next Wednesday, August 11, 2021, there will be tree trimming maintenance happening in some Tower District neighborhoods. Tree maintenance will be working in the neighborhoods bounded by W McKinley Avenue, N Palm Avenue, E Olive Avenue, AND N Fruit Avenue for approximately one (1) month. A formal notice will be sent out Monday morning to the pertaining areas.
Finally, as a reminder, the next City Council Meeting will be held next Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. You can join us virtually or in-person! To enter the building, you’ll have to enter from the main lobby. If you prefer to participate virtually, you can watch the Fresno City Council Meeting live on our Facebook page, CMAC, or on Fresno.PrimeGov.com. Comments for agenda items can be emailed to clerk@fresno.gov. You can find the council agenda on the City’s website.
Respectfully,
Miguel Angel Arias
