Fiona Ma

I am honored that California State Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones has endorsed mefor State Treasurer.

Dave Jones and Fiona

In announcing his support for my campaign, Dave Jones said: “As Treasurer, Fiona Ma will make sure California’s investments are sound and responsible and that Californians can share in our state’s prosperity.”

Fiona and Mendocino Women's Club

Speaking of endorsements, I am proud to be supported by the Mendocino Women’s Political Coalition, who said this about my candidacy: “You are a great role model for our women and girls. Your expertise as a CPA reassures us that California’s money is in good hands.”

Fiona at the CADem Convention

In my speech to delegates at the California Democratic Party Convention, I talked about Party unity and the need to defend our core values — expanding healthcare, improving education, immigration reform, and protecting civil rights, LGBTQ rights, and choice.

Ma Squad

I am so proud of my Ma Squad volunteers who always stand with me in the fight for fairness, accountability, and social justice. #MaSquad

Memorial DayMemorial DayMemorial Day

I attended Memorial Day ceremonies at the Presidio in San Francisco. Each of the 30,000 headstones in the San Francisco National Cemetery represents a human being who lost his or her life. We honor them and lift up their continued legacy of service with purpose, dedication, and courage.

API Celebration

It was an honor to speak at the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce celebration in San Diego. May is Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, a celebration of the culture, traditions, and history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.

Sierra NurserySierra Nursery

California produces 400 different agricultural products and is the “bread basket” for the nation. I’ve done over 100 agriculture tours in California and most recently visited Sierra Nursery in Sutter County. I’d like to learn more. Please contact me if there’s an agriculture site you’d like me to visit.

Young Elected Officials Network Convention

Since California became a state in the 1850s, only 10 women have been elected to statewide office. I started my public service career as an appointee to the SF Assessment Appeals Board, which prepared me to run for my first office. If you’re interested in getting appointed to a state board/commission, join California Women Lead or one of the many great organizations offering candidate and leadership trainings: Engage, Empower and Elect!

An important deadline is coming up! Ju‌ne‌ 30 is the cutoff for candidates to report how much they have raised in 20‌17. Please help me meet my fundraising goal and contribute now!

Thank you!

In Peace and Friendship,

Fiona Ma, CPA
