20 million women and 10 million men suffer from clinically significant eating disorders in the U.S. at some point in their life. As someone who battled an eating disorder in college, I know firsthand how important awareness, outreach, and treatment is in overcoming an eating disorder. Thank you to Senators Bill Dodd and Scott Wiener for sponsoring this year’s resolution to raise awareness and help break the stigma around eating disorders, the SF Commission on the Status of Women for officially recognizing Eating Disorder Awareness Week, and the Cielo House and Project HEAL for championing this issue.
It was great to be back before the Sons In Retirement to talk about the state of the economy, taxes, and the future of California. Sons in Retirement (SIR) is a nonprofit, public benefit corporation which seeks to improve the lives of retirees through activities and community engagement.
