This Monday, August 31st – our friends at the local SEIU 521 are hosting a Commit To Equity Car Rally, to demand state lawmakers bring equity to communities of color and vulnerable people.

With the state’s finances in deficit, cuts to schools, healthcare, and essential community services will be inevitable without new taxes, which will set back California’s recovery and widen racial inequity as they did in the Great Recession. The sacrifice must now come from privileged billionaires and corporations! We demand our leaders tax the privileged and corporations.

Please join us this Labor Day – Monday, September 7th for the “Drive-Out” COVID Caravan. We will be offering no-cost, drive-thru COVID-19 tests to union members and their families from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., as well as giveaway free breakfast and pro-union neck gaiters.
