Dreamers like me can stay in the U.S. thanks to Xavier

I crossed the US-Mexico border when I was 5 and grew up in Sacramento.

I consider myself an American — I grew up here, learning our nation’s story every day in school. Our history is ingrained in me.

But President Trump doesn’t think young people like me deserve to stay in the country we call home. Fortunately, Xavier Becerra disagrees — and he’s successfully fought to force the Trump administration to keep renewing DACA applications so that Dreamers like me can remain at home.

Thanks to Xavier’s lawsuit against the Trump administration, nearly 190,000 Dreamers have been able to renew their DACA applications to stay in the U.S. and contribute to our communities.
