A lifetime champion of progressive causes, Chairman Perez was elected in February 2017 and is the first Latino leader of the Democratic National Committee. In this role, Chairman Perez is dedicated to fighting for our values, growing our party from the grassroots, advocating for the progressive agenda in every zip code, ensuring a fair process in our elections, and building our youth base. This week, Chairman Perez and Senator Bernie Sanders are launching the “Come Together and Fight Back” Tour, in order to begin the process of creating a Democratic Party which is strong and active in all 50 states, and a party which focuses on grassroots activism and the needs of working families.
