| As you know, Devin Nunes was forced to step aside from the Russia investigation in May after grossly mishandling the investigation. He went into hiding for many months and is the now the subject of an ethics probe. Last week he re-entered the public limelight by threatening Attorney General Sessions and the FBI Director with contempt of Congress in a blatant attempt to undermine an ongoing investigation.
To me, as a prosecutor, this conduct clearly constitutes obstruction of justice. Despite all of this, his Republican colleagues in Congress have given Nunes free reign to further impede Special Prosecutor Mueller’s investigation. It now falls to us to hold him accountable. I know many of you have donated to this cause over the last five months. Today I’m asking you again to contribute so that we together can fight the radical agenda of Nunes and the Trump administration.
