Today is a crucial hearing in our effort to defend the Affordable Care Act against a Texas-led lawsuit to tear down the law.

When the Trump administration declined to defend the ACA against the Texas lawsuit, we stepped up, because there is too much at stake to sit idly by.

If Texas wins, within days, millions of Americans who are insured through Medicaid or through the Obamacare exchanges stand to immediately lose their health insurance.

Insurers could once again deny coverage or charge exorbitant rates to people with pre-existing conditions.

Young people could lose the right to stay on their parents’ plans until they turn 26, leaving millions more Americans without coverage.

Health insurers could once again institute lifetime caps that prevent sick and vulnerable Americans from receiving the lifelong care they need.

Our GOP opponent opposes the ACA’s individual mandate and thinks government should be less involved in keeping health care affordable. He won’t continue our essential fight to save the ACA.

Thank you,

Xavier
