“David Valadao planning DC campaign fundraiser”
We just got word about Valadao’s first planned campaign stop ahead of his likely rematch against TJ Cox. It will be a big fundraiser in Washington DC with top Republicans and their deep-pocketed allies.
This is classic Valadao. He’s yet to make a formal announcement to voters in the district about whether he’ll run, but that’s not stopping him from flying to DC to collect big checks from his former special interest donors.
This sums up perfectly why we rejected Valadao in 2018. Whether it’s his vote to dismantle the Affordable Care Act or this apparent campaign launch from DC, it’s clear he’s more interested in his donors than the people of this district.
Like we said before, the first weeks after Valadao’s filing will likely be his most lucrative. We need your help to make sure he doesn’t catch any early momentum. Can you chip in $10 to help us counter this high-dollar fundraiser?
If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Unlike Valadao, the overwhelming majority of donations TJ receives come in on emails just like this one. We’re funded by supporters across California who believe in TJ’s platform — on health care access for all, ensuring safe and affordable drinking water, fair wages, and bold climate action.
That’s a far cry from how Valadao intends to fund his campaign. In 2018 he took hundreds of thousands of dollars from big pharma, the oil and gas industry, and the NRA. We expect more of the same this time.
It’s our grassroots support vs. Valadao’s special interest allies. If you can, chip in $10 today to help us keep pace.
Thanks for your support,
