We are pleased to announce that the State has awarded an $8.5 million grant, through Prop 68 funds, for the construction of a new park at Dakota and Milburn Avenues. This park will serve the Steinbeck Elementary and Central High East Campus community and is very much needed in our West of Highway 99 neighborhoods.
Our office in collaboration with the City of Fresno PARCS Department held several community meetings, surveys, and even in-person activities where District 1 residents were able to provide input on the design for the park.
We are glad to fulfill the 30-year promise the City of Fresno made by bringing a park to this location! The park will include a multi-use field, two multipurpose courts, an exercise area, several shaded play areas, a skate park, a decorative mural wall, and much more.
