On behalf of the Education & Leadership Foundation (ELF), United Farmworkers Foundation (UFWF), and Centro Binacional Para el Desarollo Indigena Oaxaqueño (CBDIO) it is with my great pleasure to invite all of you to participate in a Civic Action on May 18, 2019, The event will consist of a resource fair, food pantry bags, kids activities, mental health awareness, and methods to get involved with Health4All. If you would like to participate as an information booth please fill out the registration form attached to this email. Note that we are encouraging information booths to donate a raffle item that will be used as an incentive for community members to get involved. During the event, we will also be providing Immigration Consultations that will consist of naturalization pre-evaluations, general consults, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) renewals. Please find attached the flyer and the information booth registration form. If you know any organization or community members that can benefit from this event feel free to share the information with them.
The Fresno County Democratic Party will be hosting an Assembly Delegate training for the upcoming State Convention this month. If you are a delegate or will be sending a proxy, this training is geared towards understanding the political landscape, avenues of engagement and what to expect at the upcoming convention. Andrew Janz Announces 2020 Candidacy for Fresno Mayor
FRESNO, Calif. (May 2, 2019) — Fresno County Violent Crimes Prosecutor Andrew Janz will officially announce his 2020 candidacy for Mayor of Fresno atRadio Parkin Central Fresno at 5:30 p.m on Thursday, May 2.
“Fresno needs someone who is attuned to the needs of its people. Throughout my campaign for Congress and my time as a local prosecutor, I have met thousands of Fresnans who have expressed the need for change in city management. Together, we can work towards ending widespread poverty and the other drivers of homelessness and crime.” Janz said, “I’m willing to work with anyone and everyone to ensure a better and brighter future for Fresno.”
