In spite of all the unproductive noise coming out of Washington these days, I continue to believe that when we come together as a community, we can accomplish so much for Central Valley families and make sure that Congress meets our needs here at home.
I meet with working families across the Central Valley every day and it’s clear that this community is concerned about the direction our country is headed — on health care access, protecting Medicare and Social Security, and making sure that our local economy isn’t hurt by Trump’s looming trade war.

I was really touched this morning by an email written by one of my supporters to his friends and family. Spreading the word about my campaign makes all the difference.
We are just two days away from Election Day. Your help is critical for us to make it across the finish line. So, I humbly ask you to email to your friends and family and let them know some of the reasons why you are voting for me on Tuesday, June 5th.
I’d like to share my supporter’s email as a token of appreciation. And I hope to do the same with yours. Will you write an email of support to your contacts?
“Friends and Family-
I will keep this short.
On Thursday, May 17th the New York Times published a Nicholas Kristof opinion piece detailing the gruesome murder of four San Bernardino people, including a woman and two children, and the ensuing framing of a black male named Kevin Cooper, who now awaits his fate on death row.
Kevin Cooper is not an angel, but he’s not a murderer either–and there is evidence to prove it. But neither Gov. Jerry Brown or appointed Attorney General Xavier Bacerra will pursue new DNA testing of the evidence that was illegally tainted and planted to frame Cooper.
I never send these emails and rarely ask friends and family to support specific candidates, even the candidates for whom I work. But today I’m emailing asking that you cast your vote for Dave Jones for Attorney General.
I’d go a step further by saying the criminal justice system is a flawed and biased system that disproportionately imprisons and takes the lives of people of color.
Single-issue voters frustrate me to no end, but in this race I am one. Please vote for Dave Jones to save an innocent life.
Thanks for your time.”
Please let us know if you will also be sending an email to your friends and family to show your support. And don’t forget to share your email with us so we can keep the momentum going.
Thank you for getting out the vote!
Sincerely,
Dave Jones

Every day in Washington, D.C., I challenge the backward-looking policies of the Trump Administration on behalf of the Californians that I represent.
Back at home, I know that Attorney General Xavier Becerra has my back and the back of every Californian.
He’s sued Donald Trump on dozens of occasions to protect:
The Affordable Care Act and women’s access to birth control and safe and legal abortion
Dreamers
Our coastline
Transgender troops
Our clean air and water standards
And more.
He’s taken guns out of the hands of criminals, tackled racial profiling, pushed for bail reform, and has taken on Big Oil and Big Banks to protect consumers.
There is no question that Xavier is the only candidate for Attorney General with the experience, the skill and the grit to continue fighting for California’s values in our courts.
Xavier has your back, Michael. I trust when our cast your ballot on Tuesday, you’ll have his.

JENNI STEPPED UP, WILL YOU?
When you’re running a grassroots campaign like ours, you experience some unforgettable moments on the campaign trail. Here’s one I had to share with you.
While speaking to a high school class, I met a young woman named Jenni. She told me she had been inspired by my message of, “Es Nuestro Turno,” which translates to “It’s Our Turn.”
Jenni and her friends took that message to heart. They took the initiative to organize a fundraiser selling baked goods and pizza, and involved their teachers, families, and community and donated their proceeds to the campaign.
Let’s continue to motivate youthful voices like Jenni’s to participate in our future. Please donate now!
Amanda Renteria is running for Governor in California — because it’s time for new voices who can change the culture of politics. Amanda recently stepped down as Chief of Operations for California’s Department of Justice. She is the daughter of former farmworkers in the Central Valley who went on to attend Stanford and Harvard. Since beginning her career in public service nearly two decades ago, she has served as a high school teacher, a budget analyst in one of California’s largest cities, and the first Latina Chief of Staff in history of the United States Senate. It’s time to inspire a new generation of leaders and build a California ready for the future. Click here to donate if you agree.

Hello,
First order of business: THANK YOU!
With your incredible support, we exceeded our grassroots fundraising goal for the month of May. Your donations ensure that TJ’s message can get across the Central Valley without any corporate PAC support — the way it should be.
If you’re in California, you know how crucial it is that we do everything possible to protect our air quality, coastlines, and natural landscapes. In Congress, TJ will fight to clean the Central Valley’s air and will stand up to Trump and the fossil fuel industry.
In contrast, David Valadao has consistently rubber-stamped Trump’s anti-environmental policies while taking $205,000 from the oil and gas industry.
I wanted to take a moment this afternoon to say thank you for everything you’ve done for our campaign this past month.
Jenn told me a few moments ago that not only did we hit our goal, but we exceeded it by quite a bit. That’s incredible. Please know how much I appreciate your support.
In the last few weeks alone, our campaign received over 20,000 individual contributions from everyday Americans across the country. That’s not something every elected official can count on — and since we refuse to take any money from corporate PACs, your support matters more than it ever has.
It’s because of you that I get to stay focused on doing my job and traveling across the country to support great candidates — like Stacey Abrams in Georgia who I campaigned with earlier this month:
And just this week I was back in California for a town hall with some of my constituents and I campaigned with Gavin Newsom — who I think is going to make a terrific governor with the courage to fight against the Administration’s attacks on our state and our values:
This month I’ll be heading to Wisconsin to support our friend Tammy Baldwin and I’ll, of course, stay focused on keeping up the fight in the Senate.
That means doing everything I can to stop this Administration’s continued attacks on vulnerable communities, especially our immigrant families.
I’ll be in touch soon with what’s next for our campaign. In the meantime, please continue to make your voice heard. As our values of liberty and justice are under assault, we need you to speak out more than ever.
