New SCCCD Board President | Happy Holidays!

View this email in your browser

I’m excited to announce that this week, my colleagues unanimously selected me to be the next Board President at State Center Community College District. We will have a robust agenda ahead of us, including selecting a new Chancellor, and continuing to address the systematic inequities our students have faced, which have been exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic. I look forward to working with my colleagues on policy and programmatic efforts to improve student success.

I’ll continue to keep you updated on the latest happenings at our local community college system for 2021.

Wishing you and yours truly, a happy and safe holiday season!

???? Georgia’s voter registration deadline is DECEMBER 7 ????

California Democratic Party Logo

The way I see it, we have 2 weeks left.

Georgia’s voter registration deadline is December 7th. Stacey Abrams, LaTosha Brown, and their coalition of community organizers and activists made HUGE strides when they registered over 800,000 new voters in Georgia, but we need to go the extra mile to ensure every Georgian has the opportunity to vote for Jon Ossoff and Rev. Warnock.

Can I count on you to sign up for a phone banking shift today to ensure Georgians know about this critical voter registration deadline?

CALL GEORGIA VOTERS Ossoff and Warnock are two top notch candidates that will deliver real progressive results for Georgia voters like a $15 minimum wage, Medicaid expansion and support of reproductive justice policies.

Democrats win when we expand the map, register voters, and bring in more folks to the Big Tent Party.

Sign up to make a couple of calls here: mobilize.us/cadems/event/

Don’t have time to make phone calls? We get it. Split a donation between the Osoff and Warnock campaigns and the California Democartic Party today:
