National Great American Clean-Up!

View this email in your browser

Dear Resident,

Join us in celebration of the 23rd year of the NATIONAL GREAT AMERICAN CLEAN-UP! Help us beautify our Lions Park neighborhood as part of this year’s Earth Day celebrations throughout the City of Fresno!

A neighborhood beautification clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, April 24th from 10am-12pm in the area around Lions Skate Park (4650 N Marks Ave). We will be beautifying the area along Marks and Rialto Ave and down the median on Emerson Ave from Marks to Hughes.

As part of this Earth Day celebration, we will also unveil plans for green space improvements along Emerson Avenue that will provide additional recreation space for the surrounding neighborhood.

Events like these could not be possible without your help! We are in need of 75-100 volunteers to help us beautify the neighborhood and be the first to get a sneak peek at the transformation of this green space!

If you are available to volunteer, please contact us via email at District1@fresno.gov or at (559) 621-7817.

You can register to volunteer here:

Querido residente,

Congratulations Rob Bonta

Congratulations Rob Bonta

His dedication to empowering underrepresented communities makes him the right choice for California.

California Democratic Party Logo

The California Democratic Party (CADEM) congratulates Rob Bonta on his appointment as California’s first Filipino American Attorney General. Rob represents what makes California great: the desire to take on righteous fights, reverse systemic injustices, and stand up to hate. Help elect more Democrats » At an early age, Rob watched as his parents joined Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta as organizers of the United Farm Workers of America.

As an attorney, Rob carried the legacy of his family by working pro-bono to protect Californians against racial injustice.

Throughout his career, he has paved the way for all communities – serving as the first Filipino American elected to the State Legislature, fighting on the forefront against corporate greed, standing up to for-profit prisons, and working to tackle climate change.

In this moment when we see a sickening rise in attacks on the AAPI community, Rob has been on the frontlines of efforts to strengthen our hate crime laws and build bridges of trust throughout California.

If you’re ready to help elect more people-powered leaders like Rob, chip in today. Your contributions help fund the year-round work of organizing in communities across our great state.

Fighting for the people is a continuous action and we need you by our side. So will you join California Democrats in fighting the good fight? If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

CADEM Team

DONATE NOW Our Democratic leaders are working hard to make California a better place to live.
