There’s been another big shift in the race for CA-21.

The elections experts at Inside Elections just downgraded TJ’s district from a “Likely” Democratic hold to one that only “Tilts” Democratic — a significant shift in David Valadao’s direction.

This is concerning. When we defeated David Valadao in 2018, we did so by just 862 votes. We expect the margin will be very close again. Only this time, the Republicans are desperate to notch a win. So we expect our race to be much more expensive, too.

We can’t stress how important it is for the momentum to remain on our side. Washington Republicans are already going on the attack against TJ, and we’ve seen the lengths that some of the super PACs lined up behind Valadao will go to win.
