Believe me, I know how hard it is to imagine four whole years of Donald Trump in the White House — especially with everything that’s happened and everything we’ve had to fight against in just the first four months.
But here’s some good news: you don’t have to wait until 2020 to defeat Donald Trump. We can stop his agenda in its tracks if we vote his allies in Congress out of office.
As bad as Trump is, his Republican enablers in Congress have been even worse.
When Donald Trump nominated people to his Cabinet who unquestionably lacked the qualifications for the job, like Jeff Sessions and Betsy DeVos, Senate Republicans rushed them through the confirmation process to satisfy Trump.
Even after we defeated the GOP’s disastrous Trumpcare bill, Republicans in the House brought it back from the dead and voted it through — without even reading it, let alone understanding the consequences — in order to give Trump a “win.”
Republicans seem to have forgotten that they were elected to serve the American people, not Donald Trump or his radical agenda.
