On Friday, the federal government released a deeply disturbing report on climate change showing dire consequences if we don’t act. Yet the Trump administration is failing to step up to the plate.

If President Trump and the EPA won’t be hitters on climate change, California will. We’ve sued the EPA more than a dozen times to protect our progress on climate and we won’t go backwards.

In California, we’re seeing the worst wildfire in our nation’s history. Last year, our state saw devastating mudslides. The new federal report says that climate change is already causing disastrous consequences in the U.S., and the devastation will only get worse if we don’t act.

We’ve sued the federal government to defend California’s clean car standards and protect the progress we’ve made in curbing vehicle emissions. We forced the EPA to implement a rule that will take high-polluting trucks off our roads. We stopped the administration from delaying a rule to protect against methane pollution on public lands. And that’s just the beginning.
