First, the incredible response to these emails covers the modest cost of keeping the lights on for our campaign. It’s not much since our re-election is a few years away. But your donations keep me off the phone and fundraising so that I can focus on doing my job.
That’s even more important now that I’ve announced I will no longer accept checks from corporate PACs. I’m going to need your help more than ever.
Second, it feels like every single day brings a new attack on the values we share. From assaults on our immigrant communities to attempts to take away our health care, and everything in between, we have to be vigilant in defending the cause of justice and equality.
