A few photos from my recent trip to Iowa

Fresno Democratic, I had a whirlwind trip last weekend to the first-in-the-nation caucus state. I joined Iowa members of Team Gillibrand to celebrate Pride, took a few workout classes, met with Iowa caucus-goers and families, and appeared at the Iowa Democrats’ Hall of Fame celebration to share my vision for this campaign and for defeating Trump.

I’ve loved each of my trips to Iowa—and I’m proud to have already held 44 (!) public events there! Take a look at a few of my favorite photos from the weekend below:

What a way to celebrate Pride! I loved serving up drinks and talking politics at the Blazing Saddle, the oldest gay bar in Des Moines.

I spent a great morning at the Iowa 2020 Book Club. Even the little ones came out for a reading of my children’s book Bold and Brave—and they found my dog Maple in all the illustrations!

Team Gillibrand showed up and got LOUD outside the Hall of Fame venue—thanks to all who helped us turn the street pink!

We deserve a president who is brave. A president who will take on the fights no one else will and see them through. Now is not the time to be polite. Now is the time to fight like hell. Thanks for a great Hall of Fame, Iowa Democrats.
