| Councilmember Soria introduced the Participatory Budget Process to her constituents in District 1 by forming a District 1 Delegation Committee and holding three Participatory Budget Meetings throughout District 1 at Slater, Heaton, and Steinbeck Elementary Schools.
The process which has not been used on the Fresno City level before, allows the residents and businesses to decide where tax payer funds allocated to their district should be invested. The residents and businesses were asked to submit their proposals for projects no later than October 10, 2017. From these projects a public vote of all residents will select the projects to be funded.
We are now awaiting project proposals!!! We encourage you to submit your ideas and projects. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions on how to propose your idea or the guidelines for eligible uses. No project is too small. |
