A Blueprint for a Better Future
FRESNO—The Great Recession has ended, thanks to President Barack Obama, but for many the scars of an economy built for the benefit of the wealthy continues to make life difficult. The causes of this continued malaise are many and deep-rooted, but luckily Hillary Clinton has a lifetime worth of experience helping families, battling government bureaucracy and understanding the protections needed to prevent the 2008 crash from happening again.
Her expertise makes her the most qualified presidential candidate in recent memory to steer our ship of state through our increasingly interconnected global economy.
Clinton believes that things like financial security and being able to afford healthcare should not come down to luck. Too many families, people who were not fortunate enough to be born to millionaire parents or a life of golden parachutes, live in fear that they’re just one illness away from losing a job, one paycheck away from losing their home. That is why Clinton has convened experts from both parties to devise her plan to make an economy that protects those at the bottom and does not just make millions for those at the top.
As president, Clinton will work to provide the support that working families need—paid family leave, earned sick days and affordable, quality child care. Her debt-free college program will help people who came out of school with mountains of debt and a job market that did not want to hire them. Moreover, she will boost our economy by providing the largest investment in new jobs since FDR’s administration took us out of the Depression.
Clinton and her vice presidential nominee, Tim Kaine, have even published a book detailing their policy plans for the economy, foreign relations and national unity.
“The Clinton/Kaine team has laid out an impressive policy agenda designed to improve the lives of all Americans,” said Michael D. Evans, chair of the Fresno County Democratic Party. “Their blueprint will boost our economy, protect our citizenry at home and abroad, and move us beyond the gridlock that has stymied our national progress for far too long.”
Clinton has been working as a servant of the public good since she turned down a high-paying law firm job to help rural schoolchildren—more than four decades ago. And she is still working to help Americans in need. She is the only candidate who can be trusted to lead the country toward something better than it has ever been before.
The Fresno County Democratic Party is united behind Hillary Clinton for President. The official Coordinated Campaign headquarters is at 1035 U Street in downtown Fresno. To volunteer or for more information, contact 559-495-0606 or fresnocountydemocrats@yahoo.com.
