373 people were killed in mass shootings last year. 373 children, parents, and loved ones. 

 

We can’t wait until the next tragedy to act. 

 

I’m not.

 

That’s why when a federal judge struck down California’s 19-year ban on high-capacity gun magazines –– which have been used in a majority of U.S. mass shootings –– we immediately challenged the dangerous ruling.

 

 

For 19 years, high-capacity magazines have been banned. Now the NRA wants to reverse that.

Our challenge is already having an impact: late last week, we secured an initial victory in the case, blocking the purchase of these deadly devices while we continue our court fight.

 

The NRA wasn’t happy. 

 

Together, we can stand up to the powerful gun lobby and special interests who are trying to roll back California’s nation-leading gun safety laws.

 

One more mass shooting is one too many. It’s time to act.
