Protecting consumers is one of the most important jobs for the next Attorney General.  It’s one of the major reasons I am running for the office of Attorney General.

As Insurance Commissioner, I have stood up to the largest of special interests – the insurance industry – time and time again.

Whether its saving consumers over $3 Billion by rejecting excessive rate increases, or getting life insurers to pay over $7 Billion in benefits they were unlawfully not paying, or more recently, making sure fire and mudslide survivors are getting the insurance they were promised – I have been successful time and time again protecting consumers and taking on big special interests.

And now it’s been revealed that Facebook exposed the information of tens of millions of its users.

If I was Attorney General, I would join the New York and Massachusetts Attorneys General in investigating Facebook. What did my opponent, the Appointed Attorney General do in the wake of these revelations?  He sent Facebook a letter.

We can and must do better protecting Californians.  My strong consumer protection record is why I have been endorsed by the Consumer Federation of California.

The election is only a little over 60 days away. I need your help to communicate our consumer protection message.

Follow me on social media and share my posts with your friends.

If you are on twitter, follow me at @CA_DaveJones and re-tweet my tweets.

And please take a moment to make a contribution or another contribution for those who have already contributed, no matter how big or small, to help us communicate to voters my dedication to protecting consumers as Attorney General.

Thanks again for all you are doing to make California a better place.

Sincerely,

Dave Jones

California Insurance Commissioner and Candidate for Attorney General
