Donald Trump just launched another attack on the LGBTQ community.
His Administration just filed a brief with The Supreme Court stating that — according to their interpretation — federal law should allow businesses to fire workers just because they are transgender.
The LGBTQ community — particularly transgender Americans — already face disproportionate discrimination in this country. It’s infuriating to see our president encourage such blatant discrimination with his bigoted interpretation of federal law.
In a matter of weeks, The Supreme Court is set to hear a case on whether LGBTQ protections in the workplace are legal. We know where Trump stands. Before the court ruling, we need to send an unmistakable message that we REJECT Trump’s bigotry and hate.
Trump has made attacks on the LGBTQ community a trademark of his campaign:
– He has banned transgender Americans from military service
– He is denying citizenship to babies born abroad if they have LGBTQ parents
– Now, he wants The Supreme Court to legalize workplace disrimination against transgender Americans.
