Earlier this month, I participated in the California Democratic Party Annual Convention, the largest convening of Democratic Party delegates and activists in the country, outside our party’s national convention.
There was a lot of energy that weekend as we heard from fourteen Democratic presidential candidates, elected my friend Rusty Hicks as our new state party Chair, and continued organizing in preparation of the 2020 elections.
I seized the opportunity to share with the 3,000 delegates and grassroots leaders in our party the work we’re doing to make California elections more secure and more accessible, as well as our efforts to ensure that every Californian is counted in the 2020 Census.
