Deciding to run for office isn’t a decision I took lightly. Not in 2018, and not now. When you decide to run a campaign, it’s a huge commitment of time and energy. It also puts you in uncomfortable situations — have you ever had to ask someone for money? But at the end of the day, I felt a call to serve.

In 2018, I decided to run because I witnessed Devin Nunes prioritize corporate mega-donors over the people of the Central Valley. And now, not much has changed.

Devin Nunes and his endless amounts of dark money have ruled local politics for far too long. I’m refusing to take corporate PAC money — because I cannot and will not be bought.

But that also means I’m at a disadvantage. That’s why I’m asking if you’ll chip in to my campaign ahead of my major End-of-Quarter deadline so we can break Devin Nunes’ grip on power →

The future of our beautiful city is up to us.

We can either let it be bought by Devin Nunes and his high dollar corporate friends — a dark reality full of pollution, corruption and stepping on the little guy.

Or we can choose to say no. We can choose to end Devin Nunes’ control over our local government. We can make sure that the government works for the people, not just the wealthy.

But to make that happen, I need you on my side. I’m up against a huge fundraising deadline, and I need strong numbers to prove that I can win this election.
