Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association Join Expansive Law Enforcement Coalition Backing Senator Ed Hernandez’ Bid for Lieutenant Governor
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA– Further establishing himself as a champion for public safety, today State Senator Ed Hernandez scored a key endorsement from the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association in his campaign for California Lieutenant Governor.
In a letter sent to Senator Ed Hernandez’ campaign for Lieutenant Governor, Marshall McClain, President of the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association (LAAPOA), wrote the following:
“I am happy to announce that you have earned our endorsement of your candidacy for CA Lieutenant Governor. A LAAPOA endorsement is given only after careful consideration to those candidates exhibiting the finest qualifications and the highest commitment to public safety. Your commitment to remain a leader on issues regarding public safety has become evident to us by other fellow public safety organizations throughout Los Angeles County which too have endorsed your candidacy. Strong advocacy for public safety, public employees and educational policies is something that must remain at the foundation of government. We know that you will continue to express your support for first responders who provide public safety for millions of travelers every year. ”

Significantly, recently California Governor Jerry Brown signed Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez’ groundbreaking drug transparency bill, SB-17, into law. Senator Hernandez’ latest digital video ad, titled, “Life or Death,” features a moving testimonial from Kendall Renee, who is allergic to more than 95% of foods and carries at least four EpiPens with her at all times. Renee highlights Senator Hernandez’ efforts to combat skyrocketing drug costs in the ad.
