Dear Resident,

I want to remind folks that there are funds available for City of Fresno residents who are struggling to pay their rent and/or are behind on any utility bills. Last week, 483 households were helped will past due utility bills amounting to a total of $738,599.41.

For the 9/2/21 City Council meeting, we will be taking action to provide more funds for the 6 community-based organizations assisting with the Emergency Rental Assistance program. Other items on the agenda are appointments to the Tower District Specific Plan Implementation Committee, District 3 Project Review Committee, and Historic Preservation Commission. To view other items on the agenda you can click on this link. City Council Meeting agendas are posted on the City’s website on the Friday (today) before the meeting at 5PM. To participate in the meeting, you can register by clicking on the link located in the agenda. You can view the meeting on CMAC 3 or live on the City of Fresno’s Facebook page at 9AM.

There will be balance beams, hula hoops, hurdles, giant jenga, giant checkers, giant connect four, cornhole, volleyball, & badminton.

IMPROVEMENT AHEAD

Watch out for City of Fresno Street Maintenance Crews who will be reconstructing the pavement on S Delno Ave., W Atchison Ave., and W Atchison Ct. Beginning Monday, August 30, 2021 from 6AM to 5PM daily.

Work will include street repavement, reconstruction of pavement undulations, and pavement markings.

Behind on Rent?

As a reminder, City of Fresno residents are encouraged to apply, if they are unable to pay the full amount of rent and utilities from April 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021. The City, along with 6 Community-Benefit Organizations (CBOs) will process the applications.
