The morning of November 11, 2019, Mercury will transit the Sun for the first time since 2016! A “transit” or “passage” of a planet across the face of the Sun is rare! As seen from Earth, only transits of Mercury and Venus (the two planets between us and the Sun) are possible. There are approximately 13 transits of Mercury each century.
Join us early morning on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2019 to look through the telescope (with a special solar lens) and see this marvel!
