“In writing this book, I am sharing part of my life and my heart with you. It is the story of my family’s journey out of our hometown of Homs, which was destroyed by Syrian civil war. It is the tale of an unplanned life-one that has earned us the label of “refugees” and has taken us to a foreign land far away our family and friends.

This event is free of charge. The Syrian Recipes from Home book will be available for a 20 dollar donation to support projects that provide venues for immigrants and refugees to tell their stories and change the anti-refugee narrative.
