Volunteers for Voter Registration at Monthly Naturalization Ceremony

Naturalization Ceremony

Volunteers are needed for intensive, fast-paced voter registration at the monthly Naturalization Ceremony in downtown Fresno, in the breezeway between the Valdez Center and the Saroyan Theater on M Street. Our team is there between 10 am and Noon and for further information, please contact Marlin Dick at marlin.dick@gmail.com. Experience in voter registration and proficiency in foreign languages (Spanish, Hmong, Punjabi) are especially helpful.

Naturalization Ceremony

Greetings all,

The next Naturalization Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, 23 October, in downtown Fresno (between Saroyan Theater and Valdez Center).

As I understand it, this will be the FINAL OPPORTUNITY to ensure voter registration in time for the November general election. We will prepare a paper to hand out to the newly-registered citizens if they are interested in having their votes count in the upcoming election.

Thanks to the recent increase in volunteers, the last three ceremonies, in July and August, saw more than 100 people registered.

I will be setting up around 9 am and people should be on site no later than 10 am, so that we can go over any last-minute details.

For planning purposes, the ceremonies for the rest of the year are scheduled for:

20 November

18 December

Thanks

Marlin

Can you commit 4 hours to build a better Fresno?

Give 4 Hours.

Help us spread the word about #YesOnP and build a better Fresno.

The #YesOnP campaign office is buzzing, and our #1 goal is to rally community support so we can pass Measure P in November. In order for us to reach our targets, we need volunteers to help canvass, walking door-to-door in teams of two, to help get the word out about all the incredible benefits Measure P will bring to Fresno.

You gave us your signature, now we need your time.
Can you commit to 4 hours to walk & knock with a friend?

Help pass #YesOnP!

Sign up online and help us create clean, safe neighborhood parks throughout Fresno! If you can’t walk, please consider a donation to help cover the cost of canvassing in your neighborhood.

SUPPORTER SPOTLIGHT:
“As a developer, I have witnessed the disparity in green space in our community first hand. We must invest in Fresno to create access regardless of zip code. By improving our parks and trails, Measure P will not only improve the lives, but property values, and make it easier to recruit businesses and retain employees and investors. Our community will be safer from property crime and violence when we invest in better opportunities for our youth. I also write this as a father and grandfather. I am proud to stand in support of Yes on P.”

Three ways you can help pass ‘Yes On P’

Dear Supporter of Fresno’s Parks,

The ‘Yes On P’ campaign is in full swing, and we have hit the streets to educate the community on the benefits of Measure P. We have signs popping up across the city and canvassers out walking and knocking on doors, but we need more.

We have less than six weeks left till election day and now is the time to kick in to gear and help.

How you will help pass this important measure so we can have safe, clean parks throughout Fresno?

HELP PASS MEASURE P!

Show your support with a #YesOnP yard sign. Pick one up at our campaign office (5380 N. Fresno St., Suite 105, Fresno, CA 93710 – near Fresno & Barstow) or sign-up online.

Help pass #YesOnP by canvassing door-to-door. Adopt your precinct and walk in your own neighborhood. We’ll provide materials, scripts, and a simple mobile app.

Every contribution is crucial to the campaign, and will help ensure we can communicate with Fresno voters about #YesOnP. Donate online – it’s quick and easy!

Supporter Spotlight
“We have been strong supporters of the San Joaquin River Parkway for a long time! And we know that Fresno needs to care for and improve, and build new parks, too! Measure P will do that, and a whole lot more. It will change our community for the better, forever!”
– Tom & Sheri Bohigian
