Whether you are an old friend or new supporter, I just wanted to say “Hi” and introduce myself and tell you a little about our campaign.

My name is Noha Elbaz, and I’m the only Democrat running for a seat on the Clovis City Council. This is  not a typical election — it takes place on March 2nd, 2021, so I need all the help I can muster up to reach voters who might not even know about the election.

I’m an active volunteer in my community, a mother, former classroom teacher, former Campus President of a local college right here in Clovis, and a life-long leader in the field of education.

As a young child, my family immigrated to North America from Alexandria, Egypt. My parents chose to immigrate in order to provide the best opportunities possible for my sister, brother, and myself. They worked hard to give us every opportunity they could and instilled in us the importance of a good education, hard work, and giving back to our community.

My husband and I chose to settle in Clovis because of its small-town charm, great public schools, and because it offered a safe place to raise young kids. On the City Council, I will work to maintain those qualities by supporting local businesses and our schools, promoting responsible growth, and offering a diverse perspective.

I’m running against out-of-touch Republican incumbents, who have campaign funds pumped in by out-of-city corporate interests. I don’t have that. I’m counting on you for my support. Please, consider a contribution to our grassroots campaign. You can do so by clicking this link.

If you’d like to know more about me or my campaign, please visit my website at www.NohaElbaz.com. If you have any questions about my background, my campaign, or my plans for the Clovis City Council, I’d love to hear from you directly!

Yours,
Noha Elbaz, MBA, M.Ed

Next week, Democrats throughout the state will begin voting for Assembly District delegates to the California Democratic Party. A number of you have voted in these elections previously and may remember going to the CWA Union Hall two years ago to hear candidates and vote. Because of COVID, the process has changed to a vote by mail system. In order to receive a mail in ballot, you must register by Monday, January 11 at 11:59 p.m.

Registration and further information can be found at http://adem.cadem.org/.

Voting for Assembly District delegates is how registered Democrats can have a say in the California Democratic Party, where election of Party officers, endorsement of candidates and propositions and development of the party platforms are done. We encourage every registered Democrat in Fresno County to participate.

A link to candidates for your Assembly District can be found on the http://adem.cadem.org/ website, as well as candidate statements for all candidates.  A voter can vote for up to seven male and seven female candidates.
