You are invited to help the growing Recall Slatic team. My wife and I will be having a fundraiser on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Right now the campaign needs to raise funds to cover a variety of costs. Thanks to some local donors, we have a challenge match of $5,000. Sponsorship levels are also available: Gold $500, Silver $300, Bronze $150. You do not have to be a voter in FUSD Trustee Area #7 (i.e. Bullard High district) to donate to the campaign, or to help get signatures on the recall petition.
WHAT: An Evening of Food, Music & Wonderful People
WHEN: Sunday, September 22nd 4-6 pm
WHERE: Home of Howard & Christine Watkins
1785 W. Dovewood Lane, Fresno 93711
COST: $50 per person suggested; otherwise, what you can
You can donate by credit card directly at http://recallslatic.com/donate-now/ or by check made payable to “Recall Slatic” and mailed to Recall Slatic, 7081 N. Marks Ave. #104, PMB 143, Fresno, CA 93711. You can also donate at the fundraiser.
The Recall’s Mission is to ensure the emotional health & physical safety of our Students, Teachers, and Staff of FUSD public schools. This means recalling Terry Slatic as FUSD Area 7 Trustee. His dangerous and highly inappropriate campus conduct led the FUSD Board of Trustees to adopt on a 6-0-1 vote a Resolution Censuring Trustee Slatic. A copy of the Resolution is attached.
For more information about the Recall Slatic campaign, go to www.RecallSlatic.com. You may also contact Stacy Williams 559-492-6798 or Howard Watkins at 559-355-7040.

As California Leadership Grapples with Homelessness Across the State, Valley Communities Gather to Address the Housing Crisis
VISALIA, CA – The 8th Annual San Joaquin Valley Affordable Housing Summit – A Home For All — will be held on Thursday, September 19 at the Wyndham Hotel in Visalia, CA from 8am to 4pm. The Summit is hosted by the San Joaquin Valley Housing Collaborative (Collaborative), with support from the Office of Community and Economic Development at Fresno State (OCED) and the California Coalition for Rural Housing (CCRH).
California’s housing crisis is just as pervasive in the San Joaquin Valley as anywhere else in the State. How will our region respond to the unique challenges and opportunities our communities face? Join housing specialists, community development professionals, elected officials, service providers, and community advocates for the 8th Annual San Joaquin Valley Affordable Housing Summit. This year’s summit is sure to be the biggest yet, offering more workshops, round-tables, and networking opportunities than ever before.
This year’s Summit will provide a unique opportunity for stakeholders from across the Valley and throughout the State to come together to strategize to take action against the crisis that has overwhelmed these communities. Participants include elected officials, state program directors, city and county agencies, community-based organizations, financial institutions, developers, and advocates.

The San Joaquin Valley Housing Collaborative is a regional 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that formed out of the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley Housing Workgroup to address housing issues that affect low- to moderate-income households and communities in the San Joaquin Valley. Since 2009, the Collaborative has served as a forum to discuss regional housing challenges and strategies and is an invaluable tool for the region to organize as one voice when communicating with state and federal policymakers and regulatory agencies. The Collaborative operates as a joint partnership with staff from the California Coalition for Rural Housing and Office of Community and Economic Development at Fresno State.
