Dear resident, 

The City of Fresno PARCS Department will open its cooling centers today, May 27th and tomorrow May 28th from 1pm to 7pm at two locations:

• Ted C. Wills Community Center (770 N. San Pablo)
• Frank H. Ball Neighborhood Center (760 Mayor)

In order to reduce the risk of COVID19 transmission, the cooling centers will not allow the use of any recreational equipment or games while the cooling center is open to the public and will follow the guidelines for social distancing, sanitation, and health screening. Protective facial coverings will be available for all visitors.

Cooling Centers are expected to be open when the National Weather Service forecasts a high of 105 degrees or hotter. If the forecast is below 105 degrees, City officials will monitor conditions and may call for activation. IMPORTANT REMINDER: Yesterday, the City of Fresno released the Save Our Small Businesses Grant Program application providing much needed assistance to small businesses. The City of Fresno allocated an additional $2 Million for small business grants that was added to the existing City of Fresno Save Our Small Businesses Program.

ATTENTION: Is your small business in need of FACE MASKS? The City of Fresno announced Tuesday 10,000 masks would be made available for small businesses to give to shoppers while another 4,000 would be available for employees. The masks are available in packs of 25. For delivery, call the city’s Code Enforcement Department at 559-621-8400.

El Departamento de parques de la Ciudad de Fresno abrirá sus centros de enfriamiento hoy, 27 de mayo y mañana 28 de mayo de 1pm a 7pm en dos ubicaciones:

Máscaras faciales protectoras estarán disponibles para todos los visitantes.

Se espera que los Centros de Enfriamiento estén abiertos cuando el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional pronostique un máximo de 105 grados o más. Si el pronóstico es inferior a 105 grados, los funcionarios de la Ciudad supervisarán las condiciones y pueden solicitar la activación. RECORDATORIO IMPORTANTE: Ayer, la Ciudad de Fresno lanzó la aplicación del programa de becas Salvemos a Nuestros Negocios Pequeños que brindara asistencia muy necesaria a los negocios pequeños. La ciudad de Fresno asignó $2 millones adicionales para becas para negocios pequeños que se agregaron al programa existente Salvemos a Nuestros Negocios Pequeños de la ciudad de Fresno.
