The City of Fresno has successfully secured $1.4 million in State Grant funding for a Class IV bikeway on Palm Avenue between Belmont and Dakota. Construction of the Class IV bikeway will begin in spring 2021.  The section of Palm Avenue from Shaw to the San Joaquin River has been previously completed.

To provide a fully connected bike path between Downtown Fresno and the San Joaquin River, a designated bike path on Palm from Dakota to Shaw must be installed.  This section is in the County, therefore the City and County are coordinating efforts to engage the community and complete the bike path.

Councilmember Soria and Council President Arias are asking your participation at a Virtual Joint City and County meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at 6pm to discuss the importance of this section of Palm completing the connection.

Querido residente,

California Democratic Party Logo

The CADEM Vote 2020 Truth Squad has been working hard this election season to fight against disinformation and voter suppression while empowering Californians to make their voices heard at the ballot box. The CADEM Vote 2020 Truth Squad toolkit has been a fundamental tool in helping promote voter outreach. There’s a Spanish version as well because NO voter should be left out of the democratic process!

But there’s still more work to be done with just 25 days left!

Our team put together some additional trainings and spiced them up with entertainment and inspiring speakers. CADEM is also partnering with other organizations for these events to increase the reach into diverse communities. Many of these events will have live translation in multiple languages.

We’d love to see you, and at least 3 folks from your community, participate at one of the upcoming events! California Democrats need trusted messengers like you to fight against disinformation about voting in 2020.
