FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, MAY 24, 2016 – The Kennedy Club of the San Joaquin Valley made the following endorsements of Democratic candidates at its May 2016 meeting:

Hillary Clinton for President

Attorney General Kamala Harris for Senator

Dr. Robert Derlet for Congressional District 4

Rep. Jim Costa for Congressional District 16

Emilio Huerta for Congressional District 21

Louis J. Campos for Congressional District 22

Assembly Member Dr. Joaquin Arambula for Assembly District 31

Assembly Member Rudy Salas for Assembly District 32

Henry R. Perea for Fresno Mayor

Paul Caprioglio for Fresno City Council District 4

Carter Pope II for Fresno City Council District 6

For FCDCC District 1: Janet Miller, Oscar Robinson, Espi Sandoval, and Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Smith

For FCDCC District 2: Michael Evans, Gail Gaston, Thomas Hernandez, Jeni-Ann Kren, Susan McCall-Carrasco, and Ruben Zarate

For FCDCC District 3: Patricia Brown, Dee Barnes, Chuck Krugman, and Daren Miller

For Fresno County Supervisor District 3, there was a virtual tie between candidates Sal Quintero and Dan Ronquillo and no endorsement was made in this race.

Kennedy Club of the San Joaquin Valley meets the first Saturday of each month at the downtown Denny’s, Divisadero and Abby Streets. Meeting time is 9 am to 11am.

Bill Clinton to make Fresno campaign stop Monday, May 23

Former President Bill Clinton coming to Fresno

The former president will campaign for wife Hillary in Fresno on Monday

Former President Bill Clinton will speak in Fresno on Monday at a public event in support of his wife Hillary Clinton’s campaign for president.

No location or time for the event has been determined yet.

But local Democratic leaders say the event will not be at night, as the former president is set to appear at another event in Sacramento Monday evening.
