Fresno Transformative Climate Communities Collaborative
Bringing together elected & community leaders to leverage public & private investments that will catalyze economic & environmental transformation in Fresno.
Please join us on Wednesday, August 2nd for our second Community Steering Committee meeting.
The meeting on Wednesday will be held at Westside Church of God, located at 1422 West California Avenue, Fresno CA 93706. Registration and refreshments will begin at 5:00pm and the discussion will be held from 5:30-7:30pm. Spanish and Hmong interpretation, refreshments, childcare, working air conditioning, free parking, and seating for up to 425 people will be provided.
After our first introductory meeting last Thursday, we now have to dive into the details of creating and selecting projects and developing a package for the state’s $70 million investment in Fresno.
Our meeting on Wednesday will focus on clarifying the roles and responsibilities for the Community Steering Committee, the process for project selection, how projects can be developed for consideration, and who is eligible to propose projects.
Anyone who lives, works, or owns property in southwest, Chinatown, or downtown Fresno is eligible to join the Community Steering Committee. We ask that committee members commit to attending a minimum of 3-4 meetings throughout August, September, and October in order to maintain membership.
If you are interested in proposing a project, a series of Proposal Kickoff Workshops will be held in mid to late August. Please visit our website for updates on specific dates, times, and locations.
