Friday, March 17, CSUF CineCulture and WILPF will present RiverBlue at 5:30 p.m., in honor of World Water Day, March 22. Ever wonder what things were used to make those fashion jeans you love to wear? The shocking truth is that, through harsh chemical manufacturing process and irresponsible disposal of toxic chemical wastes, jeans and leather fashion purses have probably contributed to the destruction of major world rivers and impacted the lives of people who count on these waterways for their survival. Hopefully, the film will act as a catalyst for us to demand significant change in the textile industry. Buying sustainable clothing sends a strong message to its manufacturers.
CineCulture films are screened in the CSUF Peters Ed Center Auditorium, next to Save Mart Center in the Student Recreation Center Building. Free parking after 4 P.M. Friday.
