As California and the nation celebrates this victory, may we remember that the work of our democracy remains true to the ideals set by the founders of this nation.
And if you had any doubt of whether or not there was any hope left under the shadows of the last four years, today is a testimony to what we can accomplish if we continue to work together.
So, let’s not forget, that this victory belongs to the people who marched through cities to stand against injustice, the people who cast their vote whether it was through mail-in ballot or standing in long lines, the essential workers who stood on the frontlines to serve throughout the pandemic, and all of the people who believed that we could do better and that we must do better.
Together, the California Democratic Party stands with the rest of the nation to build back better.
Congratulations to the United States of America’s 46th President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
More importantly, congratulations to the people of the United States of America.
