Hello from Burlington, Vermont.

It is good to be back home resting for a few days as I prepare for the next debate and to get back on the campaign trail.

While I was getting set to return, we got some great news: we learned that our campaign raised more money and received more individual donations than any campaign in the last quarter of this race.

Amazing.

What we are proving, sisters and brothers, is that one can run for president without begging the rich and powerful in this country for money. We are proving, once again, that if you fight for the working people of this country, they will fight with you.

But the truth is, our fundraising numbers put a target on our backs for this next quarter — the most important one of this campaign. And because of our time away, we’ve probably fallen behind a few of our opponents this week.

So I have to ask:

Can I count on you to make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign today? Help us get back on track and we’re going to win this thing. I would not ask if it were not important.

When I first said that we didn’t want a super PAC and that we weren’t going to hold those closed-door fundraisers, most people thought we were crazy — they thought there was no way we could raise the money it took to win.

But that decision was the right one. And if we stand together and keep fighting, we are going to win. And then we are going to transform this country.
