It’d be easy to make a Halloween joke right now about the scary prospect of Republican victories next week, but I’m going to keep this simple. There’s just too much at stake to joke about the consequences of the next 6 days.
A week from now, we’ll be waking up to the results of the midterm elections. You have the power to decide what that morning will look like.
If we win next week, we’ll be able to keep fighting to protect our immigrant communities. We’ll keep defending the Affordable Care Act in court. We’ll keep challenging the Trump administration’s threats to our environment.
But if we fall short, our nation’s most populous state will have a GOP Attorney General ready to make good on his campaign promise to “[stand] down in the state’s defense against” the Trump administration.
