Jeff Denham? More Like Jeff DONE-ham
This week, the Central Valley Democratic Club held a candidates forum for the Democrats running to challenge–and defeat–Jeff Denham next year. More than 250 people came to see the six candidates who were at the first debate for the Democratic nomination for the 10th Congressional district of CA. The event was exceptionally well organized and conducted. Congrats to the Central Valley Democratic Club and all the amazing volunteers who made this a resounding success!

CDP Officers Out & About
CDP Vice Chair Alexandra Gallardo-Rooker was the keynote speaker at the California Latina Democrats – Fresno County. She spoke to a packed house about her experiences in the political arena, and the insights she’s gained as one of the most visible and high-profile Latinas in California politics.

In Case You Missed It…
CDP Chair Eric C. Bauman shared a Rosh Hashanah greeting with California Democrats. He also reacted to Donald Trump’s speech to the United Nations:

“It’s clear that the peace and safety of the world is caught up between two crazy men locked in a contest to see whose rockets are bigger and shoot farther… For the safety and security of the world, Congress must act to constrain Trump’s ability to drag us into a long, bloody war over his pathetic, macho posturing.”

And CDP Political Director Clark Lee urged folks to #MaulTheRecall this Saturday at the Josh Newman SuperWalk in Orange County. If you’re in SoCal, stop by this great event to help us get the word out about the misleading Recall of Senator Josh Newman.
