I am thrilled to share with you some great news. The California Teachers Association have endorsed my reelection campaign for Secretary of State.
Teachers have the incredible responsibility of preparing our children to succeed and to lead. And we have the responsibility of giving them the resources and support they need to do it.
Here’s what CTA President Eric Heins said about the endorsement:
“CTA is proud to endorse Alex Padilla for re-election as Secretary of State. As a product of California public schools, Alex has been a champion for public education throughout his career. He has supported increased funding for public schools as well as policies that provide teachers the resources, training, and support they need to better teach our students.
“As Secretary of State, Alex has visited high schools throughout the state to teach young people the importance of civic engagement. He has turned that inspiration into action by registering eligible young people to vote and facilitating 16- and 17-year olds to pre-register to vote. We look forward to continuing to work with him in his second term.”
I’m honored and thankful for the California Teachers Association’s recognition of the work I’m doing. And I’m proud to add them to the growing list of endorsements.
