Recognizing Important Events!

“Women’s Equality Day” 

This week the City of Fresno proclaimed “Women’s Equality Day” and honored the phenomenal women in our community who continue to pave the way for women after them by being vocal on local, state, and federal issues affecting women. This year marks the 99th anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. Thank you to the National Women’s Political Caucus and the League of Women Voters of Fresno for your hard work and dedication to increasing the number of women participating in the political process. 

“Central Valley Craft Beer Week” 

On Thursday, Councilmember Soria recognized the first inaugural celebration of “Central Valley Craft Beer Week” (last week of August) in the City of Fresno! This proclamation celebrates our local breweries that are not only part of the makeup of our Downtown but are important to the local business industry. Thank you to our local breweries for providing education, community engagement programs and resources, and for promoting safe drinking!
